About the conference

Science as a bridge between Egypt and Germany

The Humboldt Kolleg “Nuclear Science Diplomacy: Leading the world for a better Future” is an international multidisciplinary conference held at the InterContinental Cairo Citystars on 25–26 October 2026, funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and held under the auspices of the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority.

It is designed to bring together Humboldt alumni, experts and researchers from Germany and Egypt, outstanding postdoctoral and experienced researchers, policymakers, diplomats, and representatives of scientific and nuclear institutions.

The conference aims to strengthen scientific exchange and cooperation between Egypt and Germany, and to promote science diplomacy as a tool for constructive dialogue, trust-building and international scientific cooperation.

It will also highlight the broad significance of the peaceful applications of atomic energy and their integration with other scientific disciplines — including medicine, agriculture, energy, industry, environmental protection, materials science and archaeology — as well as their contribution to innovation, human well-being and sustainable development.
